The Design Journal 01

Students are required to produce a certain art works to show their understanding and express each of the elements and principles of design of the week.

Reflection:
Through this design journal, I learn how to use point and lines while producing my drawing. Besides, I also achieve balance in my drawing so that my drawing look nice and tidy.

The Design Journal 02
In this journal, students are required to produce a certain art works based on the elements and principles given.

2a. Shape(s)(elements)

2b. Emphasis/Hierarchy (principles)


Through this journal, I learn how to use shape to make drawing. Different kind of shapes can form a certain artwork such as animal. Shapes are now not only shapes, they are also part of design. Besides, I learn how to emphasis on a drawing by using colour. Red colour is common use as an emphasis in an artwork.

The Design Journal 03
In this journal, students are required to do an creative interpretation artwork of own toy.  Students should bring out the “character” of your toy and show it through colours (elements) + Variety & Contrast OR Unity & Harmony (principles).

Reflection:
After finish this journal, I found out there were so many ways of using colours. I learn how to use different type of colour to make an artwork. It is also important to produce a harmony artwork.

The Design Journal 04

In this journal, students are required to make an artwork based:
4a. Geometric Pattern + Texture (elements) 
4b. Pattern (as a principle) or Grid or Modular or combined (principles)
  The Pattern Artwork.


Reflection: I enjoyed the process of making the artwork. It actually fun to make pattern. I like this journal very much as it let me know more about pattern and texture. Thanks lecturer for giving a chance to do this journal.

Reflection: Through this journal, I know more about Celtic culture. I love their interlock idea and it actually inspire me on other project. I learn that different type of artwork actually have their own meaning. I learn something new from this journal.
